I would like to formally congratulate you all on surviving the end of the world! It was a little touch and go over here for a while but we all managed to pull through. I hope all those Mayans feel pretty bad for forgetting to finish the calendar and leaving us all hanging like that!

This is a delicious recipe my mom gave me. It has always been a favorite Christmas treat of mine.
Peanut butter balls!
You will need:
1 1/2 cups peanut butter
3 cups powdered sugar
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, softened
Chocolate bark (for dipping)
Combine all (except chocolate bark). Form balls about 2 tbsp of mixture each. Place on a wax paper lined cookie sheet. Freeze for a few hours. Once frozen, dip into melted chocolate bark and freeze again until chocolate is hard. Serve! Store leftovers in the freezer in an airtight container.

BREAKING NEWS! My 11 month old son now gives high fives! At first I thought he was trying to smack my husband in the face but turns out he was aiming for his hand! I will teach him the face five next I think.

I’ve known amber for five years now. We met in England when we both moved there. We had been introduced the day before classes started. On the first day of school I was sitting in journalism waiting for class to start. Amber walks into the room and she stops suddenly, her face lights up and she points to me and exclaims “ooh I know you!”. She runs over and sits on my lap. I’m sitting there like “uhhh I just met you, this is incredibly awkward.” And then the teacher yelled at us.
We’ve been best friends ever since.

Today is a sad sad day.
Earlier at Target, I bought a pink punch baby lips. I knew it was love the second it touched my lips. However now it is nowhere to be found. Our relationship only lasted a couple of hours but I will cherish those moments for the rest of my life. Now I am mourning. Too sad to post. Will write more tomorrow.
